Early 1980 Gibson Les Paul Custom w/ohc in overall very good condition. The guitar is all stock with the exception of the bridge pickup that was changed to a Dimarzio DP155 Tone Zone. The original pots and T-Bobbin neck pickup all have 1979 date codes. It also has the uncommon, but original, rectangular case. It is adorned with a few cool stickers from back in the day. We acquired this guitar from the original owner, who bought it new in early 1980. The back of the headstock is stamped second. It weighs 10 lbs. 2 oz. The frets show plenty of wear but is still sets up with very low action with no issues. The nut width is 1.677" and the neck is 2.059" at the 12th fret. It features a mahogany body with a three-piece maple top. A three-piece mahogany neck with a volute and an ebony fingerboard. Beautiful mother of pearl has been used for all the inlays. The binding is discolored on the bottom edge from a guitar stand. The pickguard was slightly enlarged around the neck pickup. We have no idea why. The gold plating is overall in good shape. The tuners, bridge, pots and truss rod all function perfectly. The neck pickup measure 7.49k and has a nice warm tone.
