1965 Fender Jazzmaster w/original hardshell case

1965 Fender Jazzmaster with the original hardshell case. All of the parts are stock with the exception of the switch tip (someone put a Gretsch tip on) and the input jack nut. The two biggies are the pickguard has been cut off around the bridge and someone started to do an ugly route in between the pickups. I surmise a modification was started and never completed. None the less the damage was done. The guitar weighs 7lbs. 13oz. and is very resonant. The neck is straight and the truss rod works perfect. The original frets show plenty of playing wear but the guitar still plays excellent. I disassembled the bridge and deep cleaned all the parts. It works perfect and all the screws are fully adjustable. The grey bobbin pickups both date 1965, the neck date is Aug 1965. The bridge pickup reads 8.18K and the neck pickup reads 7.36K. It has been setup with 10-46 GHS Boomers and the action is set at 4/64" at the 12th fret on the bass side and 3/64" on the treble side. The original hardshell case is in very good condition, the handle is intact and all the latches work. The bridge cover and trem arm are missing.
