Gibson L-48
This guitar has some noticeable wear throughout, including: small dings, scratches, finish checking, slight shrinkage of the binding, and other minor cosmetic flaws.
There is a small hairline crack near the waist of the guitar on the bass side that has been touched up and is stable.
The top has sunk quite a bit, but does not cause any problems with sound or playability.
The tuning machines and tailpiece appear to have been replaced with period-accurate hardware- the original hardware is not included.
We suspect that the guitar has had a re-fret and/or neck reset in its lifetime, as the neck angle is excellent and the frets are extremely clean with very little play wear.
After a professional setup the guitar plays very nicely with medium-low action and no dead spots.
The tone is warm and growly with a sharp attack and fast decay.
Includes its original "chip board" hard case.
