What's with the cussin'? :::

Years ago in one of the earliest guitar mag interviews with Matt Bellamy, he must have spaced on the "fuzz factory" title and he referred to the pedal as the "funky fuzz fuck". so, here we are using the same NOS transistors as the units that live inside Matt's guitars and making the funky fuzz fuck available for all (or at least a few). enjoy!

In 1997 I found myself in the uncomfortable position of trying to explain how to install a Fuzz Factory into a 50s Danelectro guitar over the phone. The internet was in its infancy and snail mail and land lines ruled. The customer trying to do this was Tristan Avakian, who Queen ultimately hired to play guitar in four separate productions—the Canadian, Italian, and North American production of We Will Rock You, as well as the first North American tour of Queen Extravaganza. But before that happened, TRISTAN found himself on stage with Matt Bellamy and Muse, unsigned. MATT saw the Fuzz Factory installed in Tristan’s  Danelectro and “had to have it,” so he bought a Fuzz Factory, eventually duct taped it to his guitar and finally had it installed into a number of custom guitars by Hugh Manson of Manson‘s Guitars UK. After the release of Muse’s second album Origin of Symmetry Matt was interviewed by Guitarist UK (a very popular glossy magazine) and revealed to readers that he was using a Funky Fuzz F*ck in his guitars, attempting to obscure the real name of the pedal. Luckily for me, Hugh Manson was also interviewed in that article and described the real name of the pedal as well as the other effects that Matt had in his guitars including the ZVEX Wah Probe.
Fast forward to 2024, when my trusty technician Tommy was rooting around in the warehouse and found a bag of 120 pre-tested transistors from the Matt Bellamy era, so we are now releasing 60 reissue units using these transistors and named after Matt Bellamy’s humorous take on our pedal.
