ARCHITECT SOFTWARE
The all-new Blackstar Architect software is the interface for controlling and customising many of the advanced features of upcoming Blackstar products, including Cab Rig. Architect is available for both PC and Mac, has been developed from the ground up to be compatible with the latest and future operating systems, including Mac OS Catalina and Big Sur.
Explore features such as a searchable patch library, and the ability to backup, archive and upload entire setlists of patches to your product. When the inevitable sonic writers block strikes, Architect has a new randomise feature for both amp tones and effects, providing inspiration and a great starting point for new musical ideas.

Follow these steps to download and install Architect software.
On Windows:
There’s no installation required, just unzip the folder and run the app.
On Mac:
Double-click the DMG Install package to open it, then simply drag the Blackstar Architect app icon to the Applications folder icon to copy it there.

Cab Rig is our next-generation DSP speaker simulator that reproduces the sound and feel of a mic’d up guitar cab in incredible detail. Cab Rig’s new advanced algorithm can simulate a speaker cabinet and room with effectively zero latency, no phase mismatch and much more flexibility than an IR snapshot. Deep-dive using the accompanying software to capture the incredible tones via USB / XLR out or headphones.
Cab Rig Lite software enables you to fine tune the simulated relationship between mic and speaker delivered through the Blackstar ID Core V3's direct USB recording output. Unlike ‘snapshot’ IRs these responses are customisable by the player.

Get the exact tone you're looking for, from USA to UK and everything in between.
The patented ISF control allows you to choose the exact tonal signature you prefer. Fully counter clockwise has a more American characteristic with a tight bottomend and more aggressive middle, and fully clockwise has a British characteristic which is more ‘woody’ and less aggressive. This leads to a very familiar, musical response.
